Southern Hemisphere Compasses
The MAPsport Shop will be operating at the event center with a range of orienteering and rogaining equipment. It is run by rogainer Michael Wood who will be competing so pre-ordering is encouraged. You can see what they provide at www.mapsport.co.nz.
In particular, visitors from the northern hemisphere will need a compass made for the southern hemisphere. Your compass from home will not work properly. The MAPsport Shop is offering a special deal to 9WRC participants on the Silva Ranger 3 compass, for orders placed by 20th August. Check it out, and place your orders at the MAPsport Shop.
The MAPsport Shop will post a compass to you anywhere in the world provided you order it soon - allow at least 2 weeks for delivery. Limited stocks will be available at the Rogaine.
