Rules and Regulations
Details of the rules of Rogaining can vary from event to event. The common theme is that teams stick together, find checkpoints quickly and efficiently by good map reading and navigation, and must return to base by the event finish time or be penalised. Within this concept very specific rules have been developed for major championship events, as can be seen by the New Zealand Rogaining - Competition Rules.
